New Dominion Institute poll finds that vast majority of Memory Project veterans feel school programs are the most effective ways to educate young Canadians about our military history and that the federal government is not doing enough to help commemorate our veterans More | Results

November 10, 2007 Military History Survey. Ten-year benchmark study  Demonstrates that Canadians Aged 18 to 24 Improve Their Knowledge of Military History Over Past 10 Years. more
November 9, 2007 - The Dominion Institute releases 10-Year Benchmark Study. A ten-year benchmark study conducted by Ipsos Reid on behalf of the Dominion Institute finds that 82% of Canadians, 18-24 years old, failed a basic Canadian history exam, the same exam offered to 18-24 years olds in 1997. more
November 9, 2007 Remembrance Day Survey. Annual November 11 Survey explores the attitudes of young Canadians about the teaching of history. These results form the basis of series of recommendations to improve history instruction in Canada. more | curriculum requirements

June 30, 2007 - Annual Canada Day Survey – To mark Canada's 140th birthday the Dominion Institute is releasing its annual Canada Day long-weekend survey. This year's poll is conducted by Ipsos Reid and looks at Canadians' attitudes about the country's history, national symbols and opinions on the controversial issue of dual citizenship. more
June 29, 2007 - Mock-Citizenship Exam – A ten year benchmark study conducted by Ipsos Reid on behalf of the Dominion Institute finds that 60% of Canadians would fail a simple 21-question exam similar to the one newcomers take to become Canadian citizens. more
April 9, 2007 - Vimy Ridge 2007 Survey – A recent poll for the Dominion Institute, conducted by Innovative Research Group, shows that the majority of Canadians are losing their grasp of World War One history. Youth knowledge has improved since 1998 in some areas, but large gaps in knowledge of military history remain among Canada's youth. more
March 23, 2007 - Flags at Vimy Ridge 90th Anniversary – A poll conducted by Ipsos Reid for the Dominion Institute shows that a full majority of Canadians (79%) support flying both the modern day Canadian Maple Leaf flag and previous "Red Ensign" Canadian flag at the Vimy Ridge 90th anniversary ceremony. more
March 2, 2007 - Becoming Canadian Study Results – The Dominion Institute and Ipsos Reid have undertaken a unique national online survey that explores the levels of social engagement and attachment to Canada among English-speaking first and second generation Canadians and compares these findings to a nationally representative sample of the Canadian population. more
